The Cyber Service Academy (CSA), previously known as the Cyber Scholarship Program (CySP), is dedicated to recruiting and retaining the nation's top cyber talent to meet the Department of Defense's (DoD) cyber requirements. This program aims to secure our nation against the threats to information systems and networks by enhancing cyber education programs and expanding the cyber talent pipeline through scholarships and capacity-building initiatives.

These funded certificates are available to students from NCAE-designated schools who wish to participate in the 8-month NCAE Co-Op Cybersecurity Program, running from January to August 2025.

Through the support of the Commonwealth Cybersecurity Initiative (CCI) Grant, George Mason University is offering undergraduate students an exciting opportunity to participate in paid internships with local cybersecurity and technology startups or small-to-medium enterprises (SMEs). This experiential learning program aims to equip students with valuable work experience in a tech startup environment while introducing them to the dynamic world of cyber entrepreneurship. The ultimate goal is to inspire students to envision launching their own tech ventures in the future. Interns will work on Mason's payroll, earning $19 per hour for up to 120 hours during the Spring 2025 semester, contributing to cyber or tech-related projects for selected local companies. Successful candidates must demonstrate strong technical skills, the ability to work independently, and a commitment to delivering high-quality results on real-world projects assigned by the partnering companies.

The Virtual Internship and Varied Innovative Demonstrations (VIVID) Coalition comprised of the University of Alabama in Huntsville, Augusta University, University of Arizona, and Florida International University has internship opportunities available for college undergraduates. The virtual internships will be offered to address the problem of helping students translate academic learning to cybersecurity practice and competency in a work role or job as well as the opportunity to earn as they learn.
